I'm sure everyone has their own favorite artists that they feel should have released songs that didn't get any radio play.... I'll give one of mine...

Great topic bunky. I've got so many tracks that over the years I've said "damn, this shoulda been a single" over, but trying to think of em all now is just not working lol.

Though I had a few encounters just now of "tracks I thought should have been singles, that actually were, despite not doing well."

This list includes Luther Vandross's I'd Rather and Shai's I Don't Wanna Be Alone.

Songs that actually ANSWER your question, would probably be Tony Rich's That One. It's off his Pictures album, which was on an indie label so I don't think there were any singles. It was by no means my favorite track on the album, but it just sounded like it was meant for the radios and would be something that could bring Tony Rich back into the mainstream.

The other one, would be 7 Mile's Can I Come Over. Out in 1998, the group could have ridden on the success of guy groups with this crooner about coming over to be with a girl. Instead, they released a track with a rap verse "Just A Memory" and a song about letting a girl cheat, "Do Your Thing." Come on guyssss.

Hey june,
I love the track suicide, but I don't know if it would make a good single. The track had beautiful lyrics, but was so sad! It might have made a good video but I couldn't see it getting mcuh radio play :).

Still! Some good tracks here!
