Dude, TV is broke. You wanna see something disgusting? Watch MTV. I turned it on the other day and it had some guy on it talking about some drug overdosing and crap. Which would be fine, except this wasn't a musician, it was just some random guy.
Like seriously, where's the music in MTV's Music Television.
BET is just a waste of time nowadays. They got rid of all their good shows. All their music shows play whats popular out now, of which 99% is just wack. Most of their original shows are rip-offs of MTV shows. 106&Park = TRL, Baldwin Hills = Laguna Beach, Hell Date = Punk'd, and their other flurry of reality shows(which MTV started), etc.
I remember back in the day they had a show where artist did live performances (I think it was Planet groove). I miss that show.
The main MTV network doesnt really play alot of music which is why they created secondary networks such as MTV2.
It time for you my friend to give up on tv I did along time ago. If music is in your soul you need B.E.T find you a small room and grab your ipod and enjoy. The hell wit tv.
I stopped watching BET/MTV like in 2005, real talk. If you offered me $1000 to tell you what are the top 10 songs on BET/MTV, I wouldn't know what to tell you.

Here here, even for regular tv shows, I feel like it's better to watch them on DVD/Internet when you can watch them on YOUR schedule.
I would love to make like an "R&B Haven TV" where I would make a TRL-esque countdown each week based upon your guys favs, but I'd have trouble getting all the videos for it.
Well, music on TV was a good idea when there was no YouTube. But now, you can get music videos on demand which basically negates any benefit of the fifteen minutes of crappy music videos you'll find on MTV.
Maybe I'll do a ten video countdown each week, a la the top tens, and embed the videos as a start and we can go from there.
You guys have any ideas how we could make it so people put in their inputs on what should be in it?
I feel you all on the BET and MTV thing. BET used to be my show to watch back in the 90's era when you had shows like Planet Groove and I know you all remember Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. I miss watching those top 20 countdown every Friday. I don't like BET now because it is a MTV rip off like that one person said. MTV I'll watch sometimes, but they starting to drive me crazy. I'm trying to stick with it since I've been watching MTV since I was a little kid, but I'm starting to tune MTV out for good. The music video they play early in the morning they don't even show they whole music video no more I hate that.
VH1 used to be about music to back in the day now they are starting to get stupid like the rest of the music channel with all this I Love New York and Flavor Flav type shows. I guess I have to tune into VH1 Soul if I want to watch some videos.

@ Havok214: C/s. my 160 GB ipod does the job as well...full of full-length albums, music videos, movies, tv shows etc. is all i need really. my ipod actually is full to the max. there's only space for about a few albums left really. they need to make a 250 GB ipod already...i seriously need an upgrade in space.
