i'm liking track 10 - always be my baby, and all the tracks behind it. the other more uptempo tracks are good too 'when ur lovin' me', etc. pretty awesome record nowadays. i like how he kept some of his old sounds, while experimenting with new C:
Lol I totally forgot about them until I saw that they were the popular artist. Then it dawned on me that they rock. I am not huge on their little kid beginnings as much as their later stuff.
Is the one that left the lead singer kid from the olden days?
I want to comment on 3rd Storee I like them and I hate that they are not a popular group. I hope they still continue to put out albums reguardless.
Speaking of R&B boy bands isn't it a shame that B2k didn't last as long as did. I really thought they were going to last as long as Immature. What ever happed to the group ATL? They sung the song "calling all girls" and "make it up with love? Final question what do you all think of this new group BRUTHA? They have a reality show on BET, but I hope they last a while and don't break up.
@ Lpc Brutha is alright. I like that song "make it up with love" and "I wish". They just vanished which is a damn shame. Have you heard Metro City? Or Ahmir?
The late 90s had some decent R&B groups ex. Ideal, No Question, 4.0, 7 mile & Playa ;)
@Moofu you right it is ashame that they just vanish like that. They reminded me of a younger Jagged Edge. I haven't heard Ahmir or Metro City (that does sound familiar).
I gotta agree with you on those groups you mentioned I love 7-Mile, Playa, and Ideal I have all 3 of their albums.
lol ekluvr, you really gotta call out on my forum eh? But yea, to quote people, just do @ name... And I love your icon dude.
lpc, Ahmir is tight. We did an interview with them and they're the closest thing out right now to a 90s R&B group.
B2K and Brotha seemed too much in it for the business and not for the music. You can see this by the speed B2K broke up and by the fact that Brotha has a reality tv show lol.
But yea, Profyle was another late 90s R&B group that rocked it out.
Groups like that need to spend more time on their sound and less on the look and marketing. And I'm not a fan of reality tv but for some reason I like Keyshia Coles show.
I'm with you ilikeit it and I like seeing the new icon :).
I actually talked with the guys of Riff during our interview about the way R&B groups seemed to have moved away from forming amongst friends for the love of it and more into the "reality tv show" or for the money side. You'll have to see
I haven't seen the Keyshia Cole show... not sure if it's worth trying :).
How is BET? I enjoyed it a lot back in the day with 106 & park and whatever that show was that had Tigger on it in the basement or something, but I haven't seen it in a long while.
