Jermaine, you have to look at the topic you're in. This is a topic where people voice their own PERSONAL opinions about artists. This topic is about speaking your mind and venting.
It could be hate, but the point is this topic is about people's opinions. I could say "I think you're wrong" to someone, but it doesn't matter, it's their opinion.
And it's established that pretty much everything out today is rotten so it goes without saying that even when we say someone "Sucks" that is to say they suck compared to R&B back then, not today's stuff.
And Aaliyah was overrated and most of her music was pretty bland. She might not suck but she's no legend like people hype her up to be.
Some of the comments might be a bit extreme, but it's hyperbole.
Johnny is our resident hater but it's not your place to criticize as you haven't been around long enough to know how we function. Whether or not you agree with his... extreme comments, Johnny knows his stuff when it comes to R&B.

Ain't he the one that said Ralph and Ricky of New Edition can't sing that's hating I know Aaliyah might not have been the best but she was decent trust me if she was still here she would have gotten better and better.

This is good. I got to give it to johnny if it wasn't for him this site would be pure boring. I like everyone's post but I will say this johnny knows his r&b music I myself had to get use to johnny and his way of thinkn. And I use call johnny a hater all the time but I sat back and saw that johnny is valid most of the time it just the way he words it that may or may not upset ppl sometimes don't take it personal he is a good dude. But he just like to keep the site fun and enteraining job well done johnny. Lol
To be honest, I kinda didnt like Johnny's posting style when I first came here. Dude is brutally honest though so it grew on me. Dude is cool, you just gotta sit back and peep whats going on. I realized that everyone has their niche on this board. Johnny is the guy thats quick to criticise an artist, Ilikeit loves to like every artist. I noticed that Junebug's tastes are a bit differnt from most of us on this board(what he looks for in an artist isnt necesarrily what I look for). I think me and Guru like to mediate a bit. Lpc26 likes all the people no one else likes lol and she aint afraid to admit it. It makes for an interesting board when we disagree though.
Johnny deffinetly knows his RnB music though. I would say that most all the people who post here regularly(Me, Guru, Ilikeit, Johnny, Junebug, Moofu etc) know what we're talking about when it comes to RnB.

Aye, the fact of the matter is, don't jump in guns blazing. Everyone has their different tastes and this topic shows it. People don't like artists that other people do and this topic is about poking fun at it. Just settle in and get a vibe for the way we all talk.
Johnny I didn't say you but you agreed with everything Junebug said and he was the one saying the hurtful things let me tell you it's not fun you are supposed to find the positive and not negative. Tevin has a lot of great songs no matter how his voice sounds to you.
