Many, people BEEN singing since they were a kid, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, K-Ci, Dino of H-town, all of New Edition etc. Some of these singers were singing in church as a kid, some had careers as a kid, and some just sang as a hobby as a kid. Tevin's is no exception. Its no that hard to be "singing since you were a kid"....ask the king of pop, or his sister.
Jermaine, in response to what you said, we all love the genre and our loyal R&B fans. But you don't have to like every artist, and just because we can't get up and sing, doesn't mean we can't form an opinion about something.
Naw my name is actually Jermaine I know when you made this post you meant well but you got some hating people on here I mean who do they like they are hating on all the best R&B singers out here I mean Tevin Campbell is not garbage, he's better than Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Omarion, The Dream, J Holiday, Trey Songz all of them not hating on them they cool in their own way but Tevin is better than them and is not garbage. Now T-Pain is garbage now tell Junebug and the folks saying Jodeci, Blackstreet, Tevin Campbell, Shai and others are garbage need to clean their ears out and shut the hell up cause that ain't no opinions it's called hating. It's cool to say I don't really listen to them but to say They are overrated or suck is just plain rude. I can't believe no one is even defending Aaliyah she's dead and she's been dragged through the mud on this post I mean damn.
Anthony Hamilton is not garbage, Ricky Bell and Ralph Tresvant from New Edition do not suck they can sing. You must be deaf if you haven't heard BBD's slow songs when Ricky sings or New Edition joints like I'm Still In Love With You and One More Day. Even BBD's new joint Welcome To My Heart shows he's one of the best singers out their if anything he's underrated unlike the overrated Dream and T-Pain.
Naw I'm not saying you can't say your opinion why don't you correct the hurtful things people on here are saying about other artists like someone said to bad Aaliyah's dead but it don't mean nothin she's garbage I'm like WTF I mean she might not have been a strong singer but she's far from garbage and sucky it's not people's opinion it's hateful mean words.
^^^^Calm down dude. Its opinions. I dont agree with alot of the things that were said here but its not really that big a deal. I agree that some artist like Aaliyah(who in my opinion wasnt THAT great) are leagues ahead of garbage like T-Pain and the Dream.
BTW I generally dig most of BBD's slow jams with Ricky singing. My fav is "I Do Need You".
On Topic: BTW I changed my mind about what I said about Dru Hill/Jodeci. Jodeci is much better.
Havok I wasn't talkin about you but if you look you at people like Junebug and Johnny they talk about these artists like dogs and it isn't just carefully thought opinions it's saying hurtful things about different artists look at their comments and see in the context of what they put. I'm cool but they the ones that need to chill on the hating not me I don't like every artists but when I know know that some of these artists are some of the best of their generations and are great people shouldn't be talked about like that. Aaliyah was a beauitful person with a great personality and was really hurt when she passed away and she would be probably rollin in her grave at some of the mean and hurtful comments not opinions about her.
