Yea I like some covers but I think there's too much of it. Honestly, I prefer albums that are original material with a sprinkling of classics. Solo had it down pat with their album. They made their interludes covers of classic tracks
First I want to ask something about the technology thing, I want to know I see most people nowadays are into downloading music on i-pods or whatever, do you all still buy CDs still or just rather download music?
Next is about the cover up, in one way I don't mind an artist or a group putting out a cover up CD like 112 wants to do it now that would be fine I could picture them doing one. Then on the other hand most singers out there try to do a cover up on some old songs so it's like what is the difference. I can agree on the group SOLO I like their style they are one of my favorite and I just like how they put their own twist on those old songs.
Yea lpc, there's nothing wrong with a cover album, the problem is when EVERYONE does it :).
I still buy albums. I download a lot of music to get a feel for it, but when I find albums I like, I still buy them. I like having the little booklets and copies of the cds :)
I still buy mine to, I will admit I've kind of got on the downloading train myself, back in the 90's and early 2000's I used to take a chance with the artist music and buy their stuff. I can't really do not nowadays except on people like Brandy, Usher, people that I know are good.
Here here, even for regular tv shows, I feel like it's better to watch them on DVD/Internet when you can watch them on YOUR schedule.
I would love to make like an "R&B Haven TV" where I would make a TRL-esque countdown each week based upon your guys favs, but I'd have trouble getting all the videos for it.

I am not a fan of dudes with annoyingly high voices. That isn't to say I don't like Mcknight, I mean guys who sound like women. For example Tevin Campbell.
why does EVERYBODY think craig david sucks... he makes great upbeat r&b, has one of the best voices, is consistent with his albums, and he takes chances..what's not to like??????
His newest album was pretty bad. I remember I liked one song and that was "awkward". But I don't really remember very well so it probably wasn't that good anyways.
