The group fell apart because of the record label and mangament along with in fighting in the group. Its funny you know about this group because they did not get alot of attention. Hopefully your casst recorded has a line out most of them do unless its a boom box they don't. You go line out of the casst recorder using RCA to stereo mini to the mic input of your pc its a free recording software you can download to your pc. Open the software and hit record you can get the cords from radioshack for real cheap. And believe me its real simple. U r right it does sound silly.
