Might broaden the field more since I'm sure everyone would go with Jon B or Michael Jackson (who really shouldn't count anyway lol). Doing that, you can expand it to include Kai, Voices of Theory, and... okay, still limited. Mwahaha
junebug18 2008-07-18 07:49:33 Total Posts: 540 | hmm.... probably Michael McDonald. Hall & Oates were cool, Robin Thicke is okay, Jon B is okay, (i heard he sucks live tho)... That's all I can think of right now.

R&B Guru 2008-07-18 10:59:06 Total Posts: 2516 | Yea, All 4 One had two white members though I don't believe any sang lead. Az-1 had a lead white singer, Martin Kember who's had a decent amount of success afterwards on his own. He might be up there on my list if I had to put down a solid white R&B singer. Check out the group at: http://www.rnbhaven.com/90s-music/free-music-videos/Az-1/Trust-In-Me/277/1708 Hall & Oates were cool and I dig a lot of their tracks... but I always feel like they're too reliant on the chorus and get kinda boring because of it.

ilikeit 2008-07-19 00:24:45 Total Posts: 1155 | Know this maybe up for debate but I like the song "How Deep is Your Love" off the Saturday night fever soundtrack. Some would say that the entire album was a disco record back then. But I beg to differ. This particular track was so soulful and I got to call it R&B. So Barry Gibb has to be added to the fold. What do you guys think?
ilikeit 2008-07-19 00:26:31 Total Posts: 1155 | Michael Mcdonald was a good one junebug. You know he did an entire Motown album and it was off the chain. LOL

R&B Guru 2008-07-19 07:35:07 Total Posts: 2516 | Man, your pulling out a roster here, I never would have fathomed the numbers. What about Justin Timberlake? Pop or R&B :).
ilikeit 2008-07-19 15:29:44 Total Posts: 1155 | I was sold on Justin when he sang lead on that song "Gone" with N'Sync. That song gave me chill bumps it was so good.

I think the best white guys to sing in songs are: Michael McDonald I grew up on this guy music hearing my dad play his albums around the house. I love that duet he had with Patti Labelle "on my own" great song Jon B is great (I saw him in concert and he can put on a show) Justin Timberlake is good I agree Robin Thicke underrated like Jon B he is a great @ILikeIt the lead singer of Color Me Badd is Brian Abrams yeah you are right he is a great vocalist. I'm trying to think of some more where I've seen white guy in a group. I know the 90's had different mixtures of people in their groups.
