If you could resurrect the career of one 90's group/artist, who would it be?

I was thinking about how much I miss having groups like Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Silk, Shai, and Dru Hill in prominance. I wish these sort of groups could come back, preferably the actual groups I already love.

With that said, if you had to pick ONE who would it be and why?

mint condition is already here, they would be my first choice but they are still here after 17 years still putting out great music. so my choice would be my 2nd fav group, jodeci.

After 7. Straight up, I loved their last album Reflections and I want to hear more from them. Kevon Edmonds on his own though might be enough to sate that desire though so if I can't get all three of them, I'll just take him.

The ONE I would resurrect is Tony! Toni! Tone!. I really like the fact that they were a band. They had a distinguished sound that was funky and eclectic. I like Mint Condition for the same reason, but, like junebug18 said, they are still performing. After 7 is good one too R&B Guru; their music was very mature.

Boyz II Men, even though they still tour and put out albums. I'd bring back Arrested Development too, they had great songs with good messages too..not like today's stuff.

I agree with junebug18, I would resurrect Jodeci. They made some great music during the 90's. Its one thing not to put out music, but its another to fall the way they have.

For me, it has to be "Silk" . . .

This has been so hard for me as I have so mny that I miss. However, I feel like Jodeci needs to comeback with their hot songs.

They just had a way of putting out fire everytime

I think I'd say U.N.V, because I'd love to hear them produce something new.. they only had what 3 or 4 hits but come on, they have some talent!

DMcMahon, you and me are on the same wavelength here. Though I'll say, I think most of UNV's new jack tracks were rotten. They were a ballad group through and through.

uhh DMcMahon, UNV had one hit. 'so in love with you' and 'straight thru my heart' weren't really "hits"...and i agree with R&BGuru, their new jack was just a no-no, while their ballads were mostly good tho.

Umm R&BGuru, although i loved After 7 and would also love for them to make a comeback, do you know the reason why Keith Michell left the group after the 'Reflections' album in the first place?

No idea. Can you tell me what the cause was?

And while UNV didn't make a ton of hits, those tracks you listed were still nice jams :)
