R&B Guru 2008-09-04 06:17:02  Total Posts: 2527 | If I were to guess, it was either a clash of egos and the guys couldn't take one another. Or it was about money. Like Sisqo of Dru Hill said in the video we posted a while back, the more people in the group, the more the money is split. As K-Ci & JoJo, the guys saw they could sell just as many albums with less people in the group. So they could make more money. If they reach the point where they see they won't make as much, then we might see a new Jodeci. | |||

They said it was done, they had about 30 tracks and were trying to pick which 12 or so would be on the album. The group never formally split actually | |||

There haven't been anything officially said that Jodeci has broke up. I don't know the exact reason for Jodeci's separation. (Separation here does not mean they broke up). However, I have found out that, in a NJS4 newsletter from a DJ out of Australia name DJ Mac, there is some bad blood between the Haily Brothers and the DeGrates Brothers. He does not go at length into details in such as who, what, where, or why. But his comments highly suggest that there is a falling out between the 2 sets of brothers of Jodeci. In addition of Jodeci's falling out amongst one another, they, that is Jodeci, had fell out with New Edition and Johnny Gill because Jodeci were no shows at scheduled concerts featuring NE, JG, & Jodeci. I stated that Jodeci had a falling out with New Edition and Johnny Gill because they were no shows at some featured concerts. After rereading DJ Mac's comments, I made a mistake of stating the falling out of Jodeci with NE & JG was because of them being no shows. This was incorrect. Correctly, Jodeci did have a falling out with NE & JG. The reason for it is not mentioned, nor specified in DJ Mac's comments. However, and clearly in DJ Mac's comments, there are grievances against Jodeci by NE & JG, since they made clear that they'll never again do a show with Jodeci. | |||
