However, the chorus is a tad too long. I think it would have been cool to see him do the first half of the chorus after the first verse (where he's talking about what he would do for her) then after second verse change it up and talk about what he expects she would do for him, instead if jamming them both into a single chorus. Really nice song though...again, I absolutely love the lyrics

I think the lyrics, while good, just don't flow well. My favorite track from the album is still "Not Going Nowhere." A great song. Nice find though jerry, I've downloaded it now to add to my playlists :).

jerrygotthis 2008-09-05 11:38:32 Total Posts: 9 | Since you've listened to it so many times, maybe you can help me out with the lyrics. In the chorus: "...that you would die for me / spend your lifetime on me / you'd go to war with just the thought of someone hurting me / you'd ... ???" What is he saying there? Sounds like, "you'd do without me cuz that's what love's all about." but that doesn't really make sense. In the second verse: "...when you have dreams do u make love to / the one you with or ... ???" Any help would be great!
JohnnyAwesome24 2008-09-05 15:20:44 Total Posts: 1928 | I tihnk its, "Spend your last dime on me". Anyway, I take it like hes saying that he would be there for the woman he loves if she is willing to do the same for him. Not that difficult of song to figure out.

He alternates between that one and another about how he'd take the food out of his mouth The second part is "the one you with or one not with you" It's a reference to the earlier part of the verse where he asks if she's the type who would keep thinking of her ex or a guy she used to be with. Anyone know what he means in the chorus though by the lines "You'd do without me cuz that's what love's all about"
