R&B Guru 2008-09-13 20:34:54 Total Posts: 2528 | Yea, I'm up and down on Lyfe. I like Never Never Land but I listened to some other songs of his and his voice sounds rotten some times. Like he's trying to hard to sound soulful.
Moofu 2008-09-13 21:21:16 Total Posts: 726 | I really like Lyfe Jennings. "Must Be Nice", "Radio" and "Cry" are some of my favorites of his. But, I have to agree his voice is pretty messed sometimes like hes straining way too hard.
d0rk 2008-09-14 00:58:20 Total Posts: 366 | Yep, Lyfe is pretty good. lol I didn't even know that was his voice, i though he was just doing that for that particular songs, until I heard his other tracks. A little info, the lady who sings with him in the track S.E.X, Lala Brown & her boyfriend was found dead last year in a recording studio.. crazyyy isn't it. Oh, I just remembered another name since in my last post I mentioned Avant. Keke Wyatt.. whatever happened to her? I kinda liked her songs.

JohnnyAwesome24 2008-09-18 17:31:18 Total Posts: 1940 | I disagree on Hamilton, I am actually thinking now that he gets too much dap. I don't find him to be all that great at all.

lpc26 2008-10-13 08:50:15 Total Posts: 766 | I'm just replying to everyone post I just had a chance to read most of them all and view your thoughts. Some of you mentioned some goods ones like Monica. I agree I don't think she get the recognition that she deserves as well, she was fine back in the 90's and now it's like what's going on. Lyfe is cool, he still holding in there and Tank I have to agree, he did ok with "Please don't go" and that was all I heard from him. R & B Guru you hit it right on the money when you said 7-Mile, what a great group. I have their CD and think they had great potential also. I want to say Blackstreet was underrated and K-Ci & JoJo

Those ladies had tons of great tracks and real quality voices but never got the respect that groups like En Vogue or TLC got. As for the guy artists you mentioned in your first post, I've always felt they have gotten a lot of love so it's hard to comment. Though they are great artists. 7 Mile's one though that I'm with you on though. I feel like they released an album, and no one bought it. While it's not ground breaking or incredible, it's still an album I've really enjoyed. And of course, Tony Rich should always be up here. Nobody Knows was a mega hit and while everyone loves it, nobody knows who it's by :). The rest of his stuff is phenomenal as well. I've probably said it before but he deserves all the love I can give.
