I know she is not R&B but it's making top headline news and its irritating!

I prefer to pay my respect more to the 80+ innocent people that were murdered in Norway than a drug abusing artist who had money anything can buy and abused her privileges. Just keeping things in perspective. The only positive that came out of that, is another example of how drugs ruin lives. I have no sympathy for crack heads.

I honestly couldn't care less. I mean frankly I figured she was as good as dead anyway. Not that I am thrilled about it, just not worth my time.

I think it's getting more attention because of the 27 club correlation.

True! The jokes about her death are funny though.

No matter what she has done in her life she was still a person that had people who loved her. No one truly knows what that woman was going through. Maybe she was depressed or something or maybe she felt like that she wasn't really worth a damn to her self so she decided to ruin herself so that she wouldn't think about her problems. Its sad what happened to those people in Norway, that was really messed up. But because Amy Winehouse was a drug-using, Grammy winning artist she doesn't deserve condolences?? Come on people that's really low.

Sure I feel for her family but I think her life and actions were more an embarrassment for her family and the fans rather than influential. I was trying to keep things in perspective. People are getting murdered against their will around the world. I have lost friends to things in ways that they had no choice and seen many families get destroyed as a result and I see people making a fuss for an artist who abused her rights. I recognize what she did musically believe me but just keeping things in perspective that is all. She had many chances to clean her act up. She dug her own grave.

Its cool, you're entitled to your own opinions.

She was a 27 year old Grammy award winner, had a critically acclaimed album, and actually had somewhat of some talent in this new class of artists in her generation. That's why her death is a big deal.

Bottom line is she was famous and people know who she is. So of course her death will be covered on a grander scale. Is it right? Not really. Just the way it is.

What I don't understand she wasn't that big a deal to people before. Now that she is dead I guess that is why she is big or the talk of the town.

Biggie said it best in one of his songs "your nobody untill somebody kills you"....in this case "your nobody untill you die". Which is said to say but true.
