R&B Music Forum

So I don't know if ya'll caught wind but I now drive an hour and a half each way for work every day. With this kind of drive, I can't just listen to R&B ballads as they start to get wearing. So I'm looking to expand my iPod collection with some good rap music. You can suggest anything no matter how obvious it might sound, but I want everything from any era that you find really good.

Please include a youtube embed link for every song you recommend if possible as it makes it a lot easier to listen and see what it sounds like.

Here are a few recommendations by me to start it off.

Slick Rick - Women Lose Weight, Slick Rick is awesome, and the track is funny/humorous



Eminem & Jay-Z - Renegade - Both just sound so great and the beat wins



Royce Da 5'9 - Life ... I like these "deep" songs sung to rappers kids



Pharoah Monch / Styles P - My Life



Anything by Last Emperor, Especially One Life with Poetic... done just before Poetic died, it's a tear jerker.



Anything by Benefit (humor mostly), but Proceed With Caution just has such awesome rhymes.
