Eric Benet and Tamia -Spend My Life With You. One site said that this was one of Tamia's two good songs (haha) and that Eric Benet is one of the most underrated R&B singers of all time. While I know nothing about Tamia, this song is really good and the statement about Benet is one I would have to agree with. As you know Guru, I got into Benet a few months ago and he's awesome. I recommend everyone listen to all of his stuff...great great lyricist

R&B Guru 2008-07-15 14:10:13 Total Posts: 2527 | Well, going on a similar idea to the Brandy/Monica one, I felt like the perfect match-up made in marketing heaven was when Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston teamed up for "When You Believe" on the Prince of Egypt soundtrack. And I love that song which helps :). So far, great numbers too! What's the Johnny Gill track?

junebug18 2008-07-17 13:02:45 Total Posts: 540 | here's a good question. which duet was better: deborah cox & RL - we cant be friends or avant and keke wyatt - my first love
junebug18 2008-07-17 13:53:57 Total Posts: 540 | It's Avant and KeKe, even though Deborah and RL blew them out of the water vocally. The reason I say that is because sometimes and that's sometimes the heart and soul beats out the technial. To bad KeKe got in trouble with the law because that was a hit. She could have blew up.
junebug18 2008-07-17 15:42:27 Total Posts: 540 | Yeah i agree the avant/keke joint is better. RL couldnt keep with Deborah IMO even though it was a good song. But the Avant joint was just better.

R&B Guru 2008-07-19 07:39:32 Total Posts: 2527 | Soul's gonna love you for that one bunky. That's another good call ilikeit, it fits well and is another one of those taking two superstars and putting them together. How bout this combo: Stevie Wonder and Babyface on "How Come How Long." Now that's a combining of the titans. (Though if you want a weird combo its Stevie Wonder and 98 Degrees on "True To Your Heart.")
bunky1787 2008-07-19 08:12:32 Total Posts: 440 | Think I got another one. Thanks 4 the idea Guru with the 98 Degrees song. Joe and NSYNC on the song "I believe in you". I find it odd that an rnb crooner sounds good with a pop group and still keeps it soulful.
ilikeit 2008-07-19 15:23:52 Total Posts: 1156 | Joe did sound good on that track that's a great point bunky and know that you mention it Joe is underrated too.
bunky1787 2008-07-19 15:34:37 Total Posts: 440 | yea hes gotta be the most underrated singer of the past 10 years...
R&B Guru 2008-07-19 15:54:35 Total Posts: 2527 | Joe's underrated, but the writing on his tracks sucks pretty hard. I've only got his album All That I Am and while some tracks on that album are smoking, some of the writing makes you just stop and be like... WTF were they thinking. Still, he's got some tight jams.
