As for tips, try your best to do the assigned readings (Warning though, you have to read like a lot...like a lot lol) As for the social aspect of college, make sure you make some "semester friends". You don't have to become best friends with them or anything, but it's good to have a buddy in your classes for many purposes like studying together and stuff. oh, and also, use your time wisely. Since it's not High School where you had to go to school for 6 hours, you may think you have a lot of spare time. I'm taking general studies right now and basically hoping I will find someone that interests me ><. @Buddha I'm at Douglas College now lol. Well, I just failed my first mid term alrdy and made the big mistake of not studying constantly. Thus, like you said, I've gotten pretty lazy. I've made some semester friends, generally found people to be pretty friendly. I've met a lot of those "wannabe azn gangsters" lol you know exactly who I'm talking about. No that I care what they do, I just hate that they come to me to be validated you know?
