i write all the time (alot of unfinished and forgotten melodies since i have no real way to remember them lol and i am 18 (turning 19 in Nov.) but its hard to get noticed when all u do is write. i cant play anything (although i will be trying to learn the piano in the future..) and i dont think im much of a singer (maybe its just me lol).
Guru, were u having a go at me earlier with that remark, or was that u saying hi? ...
Any ways... I wanna be a famous writer living in a large home facing a waterfront, surrounded by a few children...8 boys and 6 girls. and maybe a husband, only if he could handle all my children.
RYU- songwriting is cool. do u wanna do that because its a great way to let your emotions be known, or because you want to be the reason some one with a great voice makes a great hit because u wrote the great song they sang?
GURU- You want ur wife to make u sandwiches.... wat about osso bucco, pot roast, stirfry, braised lobster, kiev, seafood mornae, carbornara, a thick juicy steak topped with garlic prawns in a thick creamy sauce served with fresh rocket and good old mashed potato!!

He wants to cuz that's where all the money is haha. Naw, I'm sure that's not why but seriously, the writer gets the royalties if it's a hit, so definitely the best position to be in.
And LOL at your few children Shorty. You planning on building up an army? You said you're a mother already right? How many more do you need to reach your goal :).
You're making me hungry with all your food though haha. Of course I'd love to have all that instead :). But you see, I'm a simple man. I make spaghetti and I make sandwich, I'd hate to be so snooty as to expect anything more out of my wifey :-p.
lol @ all of u lol....no i want to be a writer because of the emotion thing and becuase i want to make someone a hit and be able to say i wrote that. and also because of the money..DUH....jkjk lol but the money would be nice. but yea all of those reasons would be nice
Money is a great motivation, so if it's something you enjoy, keep putting pen to paper. And being recognized for your your song writing isnt as complicated as people think. Start by entering your songs in poetry comps etc. Write to a magazine and ask them if they'll publish it... I guarentee they will, so long as u do something in return, like plant 50 treees or something. Seriously.
And Guru, not an army, a football team. Yes I'm already a mother... I have a little girl- 1 and a half years old. She is so beautiful, she deffinately takes after her mother. (which of course is me) As I said before, I want 8 boys and 6 girls, so that's 1 down, 13 to go.
And I'm sorry for making u hungry, but seriously, wanting a good feed aint being snooty. And I dont know any woman who doesnt like to cook.
