Welcome back to another week at R&B Haven. This week was a little slow in the updates as I went on vacation to New York for the weekend to visit family. However, I'm back and better than ever, bringing all the latest in R&B music to you guys.

The first bit of news for the week is the addition of two new articles by our resident writer, ilikeit. This week, he looks at the mysterious popularity of doing covers of the song "Wishing on a Star" and the similarities between the track that launched Destiny's Child, and a song done by En Vogue. Both articles are a short, great read, and if you haven't read any of his stuff, check out the Music Articles section.

We've also had two new additions to the top ten lists section with d0rk dishing out the best in Hip-Hop and R&B collaborations. So if you're looking for tracks to get the head bobbing, check out the Best in R&B/Hip-Hop. Blacquegurl also added a list which highlights some of the best songs done by Glenn Jones.

Lastly in site content, we've updated with a new song of the week! There was a lot of discussion on the forums this week about R&B supergroups, and what better way to celebrate these groups than with "Black Men United - U Will Know." The track was a culmination of all the great R&B guys from the early 1990s and offers a modernized "We Are The World" in its delivery. Check it out and see how many artists you remember.

In the music news section, this week featured the reinforcement of the idea that if all goes according to plans, this could be the best year ever for 90s R&B fans. Whitney Houston put out a new track titled "Like I Never Left" and has plans for an album. Likewise, my favorite, Tony Rich, is working on a new album for the end of this year, with a track out titled "Part The Waves." And of course, the ever great Brian McKnight is rumored to have an album coming out.

That's it for the week. Keep coming back for the latest in R&B and please join the forum to discuss your R&B moods. And if you want to contribute to the site in ANY way possible, please email me at rnbguru@rnbhaven.com or via the contact page.

Good stuff. Keep it comin..

Also, can we permanently put Beyonce pics in the "latest picture" thing that you added? That'd be great. And lastly...I think it's time you change/remove the poll no?

Hah, I'd be up for that. I try and make the picture that ends up there to be the easiest on the eyes possible given the choices.

And the poll will be updated this weekend ideally :). Me and ilikeit were a little slowgoing on this one.
