Sup R&B Catsssss.

This week at R&B Haven, we've had more technical revisions than anything else (I told you content would be put on hold!). First off, on the forums, now when you post, your post appears automatically. This might have some bugs in it still, so if you notice any, email me. On a similar note with the forums, you can now change your avatars in Internet Explorer, so anybody with a blank avatar should get on that!

Another cool new addition is that I'm starting to include mp3 embeddings on the lyrics pages. So when you check out a song's lyrics, you can also play the track. This will eventually become its own jukebox feature (a la the music video channel), once I have enough mp3s to make it worth being on its own.

Profiles now have the potentially nice feature that you will be emailed when someone writes on your page. I thought this would be a good way to notify people of comments since it is easy to overlook these comments. Let me know if this annoys you guys and I can reevaluate its benefit.

Finally, one last major change, which only the active forum users will see, is the Contribute icon up top. I've given you guys some admin privileges on the site, which basically means you can now add photos to artists, lyrics to songs, or mp3 embeddings to songs that have lyrics. The pages describe what each thing means, and you have to be logged in to use it. Basically, I just wanted to make a way so that, IF anybody wants to help the site grow or feels like an artist should have more coverage, they can now do it. Please don't screw around with it to try and cause damage (I.E. The lyrics to Mariah Carey's Take This Ring are not "Mariah Carey Blows. JohnnyAwesome RULEZZZZ.") Again, nobody has to do any of this stuff, but if you're bored while on the net one day, it's a nice way to listen to music and at the same time, expand the site.

And in ACTUAL R&B music stuff, we have finally changed the poll. Jagged Edge emerged victorious against 112 in the last poll with a 248 to 238 victory. In this new edition (which will become a biweekly feature), Boyz II Men's two cover albums face off.
