R&B Christmas Giveaway Results, Content Blowout
R&B Guru 2008-12-26 10:45:27 Total Posts: 2527	So today represents a lot of big additions at R&B Haven. First, we've completed discographies for every 90s R&B artist on the site (any ocd users will identify that Sudden Change and X-Cellence don't have discographies... but that's their fault at being obscure, not mine). This took a ridiculous amount of time so I probably won't do any other major content additions in the coming weeks, but I'll be doing updates on the site. Things like cleaner forum usage, emails when users post on other peoples walls, etc. In other more exciting news for most people, the Christmas contest is over. Moofu dominated the contest while JohnnyAwesome and d0rk fought it out for second. Johnny managed to pull ahead with the Christmas artist identifier challenge, bringing him second. And lpc, a latecomer, managed to win the third place random selection, leaving d0rk and SonOfSoul out in the cold. As such, the final results are: Moofu: Ne-Yo - Year Of The Gentleman JohnnyAwesome: Eric Benet - Love & Life lpc: Usher - Here I Stand Congratulations guys, I'll be sending you emails to get your addresses and send the cds on their way. In recognizing the winners, Ne-Yo's Mad is the song of the week. Mad is a great song, and infectiously catchy and the whole cd is great so I highly recommend it to everyone. I bummed around with the family but everyone in the family gave me some R&B cds to help improve my collection and warrant my title as the guru. The cds I got (I was trying to keep it hush hush so people wouldn't know how backed up my music collection was) include: Eric Benet: Love & Life, Hurricane Brian McKnight: Ten, Superhero Ne-Yo: Year Of The Gentleman Wayne Brade: A Long Time Coming Solo: Solo Kenny Lattimore: Timeless So needless to say, I've expanded my collection a bit and as Johnny will probably like, NO female artists!
