So this news post will be short as unfortunately I've been really busy. You can probably tell that by the limited number of updates on the site, but the good news is that it will end soon! I will be choosing where I want to work when I graduate by November 15th. After that, well, as Shai says, "Baby I'm yoursss."

In more interesting news, there's been a new song of the week. To celebrate Tony Rich's new album, Exist, (which actually came out in September and just snuck by all of us) we've made Tony Rich's "Like A Woman" the song of the week. The track is a classic number and was actually nominated for a Grammy despite it's likely unknown status by many today. So check out song of the week and if you haven't yet, check out the album!

Lastly, while not R&B news, it certainly is relevant for all our United States visitors. Tomorrow, November 4th is election day. It's gonna be a crazy election and I hope you all get out there to vote! We need to have an R&B Haven bloc so I hope you're all exercising your rights.

Well, that's it for today, I hope everyone's having a good time. Feel free to check out the forums if you don't already and join conversation. In recognition of the election, here's Eric Benet's (Who also has a new album, Love & Life out which you should buy!) "Heart Of America."

I am indeed, although I really feel that neither one of these guys are any good. I don't like this voting for the lesser of two evils gig.

Both lie, both have their own agendas, both have HORRIBLE choice in running mates. The list goes on and I wish a third party member had a shot in hell.

I am more concerned about the issues in Ohio that I will be voting for.

To hopefully help instill some more confidence in you, I saw this video on the two candidates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpEpg12kEnc

Really, it made me feel a lot better about each of them and shows that McCain and Obama are both more than capable of tackling office. Really, as you said, the thing that concerns me is running mates, where I feel McCain really botched things with Palin. I've never felt one way or the other about Biden.

You're from Ohio? Lucky, they really like your vote :). Here in New York we're blue through and through.

I am a moderate with conservative tendencies. I do not want to vote for Obama, as I feel like I would help murder a man.

The poor guy is going to have ignorant scumbags attempt to take his life. This is a sad reality that exists, and those who ignore what is a very real threat is dumb.

That and the fact that Obama is pretty unrealistic.

Obama has had this interesting effect. I feel like he's actually "transcended" politics in many peoples eyes and is now a symbol more than anything else. From the way things go, he seems to symbolize hope and a way out for people.

Whether it's true or not is a whole different story. Regardless, I voted for him :).

Grrr... lol just messing. I don't think he actually can do all the things he says he can do. He gets my vote for the countries' motivational speaker, not for president.

I am hoping issue 6 passes in Ohio to give us casinos.

Well regardless, it looks like he's won. 207 right now and CA + WA = 273.

What do you guys think? We'll have to see if it changes anything.

I don't think much would have came out of tihs no matter who won. Even worse, is that Ohio decided to screw itself by voting no on issue six and yes on five.

Basically I hope all of Ohio has a major economic down fall since it is what they deserve for being idiots. For every mistake there is a price to be paid.

I think I would be a bit less angry had I not known that a large portion of voters didn't even research their vote. If they took 20 mins out of their day they would have voted yes on issue 6 no doubt.

People should have to take a competence quiz before being able to vote.

What was issue 6 in ohio? We had some lame ones here. Just crap about some veteran disability points on the civil service exams.

Massachusetts got to vote whether or not they wanted income tax.

That's retarded.

Issue 6 was to bring casino gambling to Ohio.
