Shomari came out in 1991 and was a trio. The group was comprised of two brothers and their friend and released their debut album, EVery Day Has A Sun, in 1991. The album had one moderate hit with 'If You Feel The Need' which reached #27 on the R&B charts. The album's other single, 'Let It Be Me' reached #64 on the R&B charts.
