Guru, If anyone really want's to get the book your better googleing it off the author Jason A. Michael's site for 16.95 plus s&h ...don't do what i did...I went to Amazon and paid 45.00 for it..then I found the site...but it was worth it...the used ones on Amazon now are 46.00 and the new ones are about 36.00 dollars...but it could be the first edition of the book though...I hope this helps anyone interested.

Phyllis Hyman

Phyllis was bipolar and also had addictions to drugs, alcohol,and to food..in otherwords,she would drink, freebase and when she came down from her high she would binge on food..and what clive davis did to her..i have her book..."Strength of a Woman: The Phyllis Hyman story." For those who are intrested, its a great, but sad read. To me her voice will never be forgotten. very underated...and the fact that she was bipolar.. an illness that sometimes can't be controlled due to the chemical imbalances from all of her addictions...may she rest in peace!

I beleive that she is James Debarge's daughter.The cd is straight up pop to me..not good!
