R&B....dead?

Define Real R&B, u say its never been the same since the late 80's which alot of ppl will agree with especially with New Jack Swing surfacing at that..well to me the late 80's all the way up through the early 2000's is when R&B was at its best. U had artist that mixed hip hop with R&B, the ballad singers, ect. In my opinion R&B isn't dead, its just not as mainstream as it was once, but thats just my opinion, im really interested on what everyones definition of REAL R&B is. Is it Production, Lyrical Content...?

Ginuwine - Elgin

Did anyone get Ginuwines new album Elgin?? And if you did what did you think about it?? I got it and As a long time Ginuwine fan i've accepted that a Gin and Timbo Collabo aint happening, so i stop comparing his albums to Bachelor and 100%. This though is a pretty decent album, id say its up there with The Life..to bad it wasnt really promoted..at all, but it has some good songs, id recommend Heaven which was written by Tank, Break by Diarren Warren, and Drink Of Choice..sounds like so anxious 2011 lol

Why is the forum so dead?

Well they're gonna be there, theres no getting rid of them lmao but i just wish that Real R&B would get just as much promotion and radio airplay as those "autotune posers" its like real R&B music is only heard on urban ac stations, where it used to be when artist had a song that was a hit on the R&B charts it was also a hit on the pop charts..but with all this great R&B coming out i think its coming back ;)
