There is hope MAXWELL!!!!! R&B has suffered alot because of hip hop.But to get back to good music you have to sometimes have BAD music & we are at that point.It's not about talent or skill anymore.Plus there are people at labels that are only concerned about the bottom line which is sales so they follow instead of leading!

Yep J88 you are partly right.Gene is the one who actually made TIM leave. Gene was always shady & he used the old method of divide & conquer to help drive TIM & TEDDY apart.To Tim's credit he saw right through GENE & left before he got taken for a ride. At the time people tought he was an idiot but history has now shown he was actually smart to leave.Money & Fame is the reason most groups break up.It is always those people who don't have your best intrest at heart that break's groups up.Jealousy & ENVY always play a part in most groups demise.

You are right J88 but that is exactly my point.GUY would have not broken up if TIM wouldn't have left.J Stonestreet got a deal with the now defunct GIANT records but never came out.To answer your question R&B GURU Tim went on to produce other artist's such as Jasmine Guy,Christopher Williams & he wrote & coproduced both ballads on the first & only good BBD album. Those songs were "I do need U" & "When will I see U smile again. He also came out with a solo album & had a moderate hit called "HELP".

Timmy Gatling leaving Guy was a sad day.Remember TIM wrote all the song's for the first GUY album & actually was the one who got Aaron to join the group & came up with the whole concept of GUY!! He and Teddy were childhood friends & if u really think about it they had the best chemistry. The first GUY album is a classic!It is one of the few albums u can play straight through.It was sad but smart that he left because he is the only one besides TEDDY to still get paid of the first album. If they would have stayed together they would have & should have dominated!Damion did not have the same skills that TIM had.Tim wrote & played on that album all those basslines were him!That phrase 'YEP YEP' is TIM, Teddy bit that when he left.So he gets props for being the O.G. GUY member!Him leaving actually cheated us out of what could have been!Also Blacksteet wasn't even in the same realm as GUY!!!!They were cool but that was Teddy's attempt to make up for the failure of GUY!
